It was with a clear mind and a full heart that our Savior took on the events of His last week. A close look at Scripture reveals that He knew His hour had come and that nothing that was about to occur would come as a surprise or be outside of God’s plan - for the Father had given all things into the Son’s hands (John 3:35). It is with full awareness and understanding, that we see the Savior freely give Himself to be Poured Out in Love.

Our hope through this study is to closely examine our Savior’s last week before His death and resurrection. As tragic and unimaginable as the upcoming events would be, everything that takes place fulfills Scripture, perfectly satisfying God’s demands for salvation. Our Savior has already told His disciples that His life will not be taken from Him, but that He lays it down freely and on His own accord (John 10:18). The conversation that is to unfold will become the underpinning for the gospel we know today.
