Bible Study Methods 1
Learn how to study and understand the Bible with some practical methods and tools. Bible Study Methods will introduce you to hermeneutics (the process of Bible interpretation), deepen your walk with God and equip anyone who teaches classes or Bible studies.

The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit
A study of the Bible’s teaching on the Person, the promise, and the work of the Holy Spirit, with an emphasis on how Scripture reveals the Spirit’s ministry in more detail as God’s redemptive plan unfolds.

Doctrines of Grace
Doctrines of Grace explores the five biblical doctrines often summarized by the acronym TULIP: Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Definite Atonement, Irresistible Grace and the Perseverance of the Saints. Deepen your studying of God’s sovereign work in salvation will cultivate a greater appreciation for His amazing grace and eternal plan of salvation.

Old Testament Survey of Minor Prophets
The Divine messages of these shorter prophetic books are just as relevant today as they were for the people of that day. Grow in your study of God’s character, His heart for His people, and His call to faithful living. Be challenged and encouraged to walk in greater obedience to God and grow in your relationship with Him.

Transformed Living for Women 2
Transformed Living Part 2 builds on the foundation of Part 1, helping women grow in Christ through a deeper understanding of sanctification, forgiveness, reconciliation, communication, suffering and contentment. As we learn to delight in the Lord and walk in the fear of Him, we are transformed to reflect Christ more fully in every area of life.

Biblical Counseling 1: Fundamentals
This class explores the foundational principles of Biblical Counseling, equipping students for both personal growth and effective ministry to others. Topics include counseling goals and qualifications, the authority and efficiency of Scripture, the heart at the source of our thoughts, desires, and actions, the biblical process of change, and the essential elements of the counseling process. Discover how God’s Word provides wisdom and hope for the struggles of everyday life and learn how to help others grow in Christ with truth, grace and compassion.

Deepening Disciples
Disciples of Jesus are called to grow in grace and in their knowledge of Him (2 Pet. 3:18). SDI’s courses will deepen your understanding of the Bible, ground you in the essentials of the Christian faith, and strengthen your walk with Christ.

Snohomish Discipleship Institute fulfills the mission of SCC by deepening disciples and developing leaders for the glory of Jesus Christ for now and eternity.
Leaders in Training
SDI’s Leaders in Training program is a set of selected courses for training men and women to serve the church in various aspects of ministry leadership. Our goal is to help these servant-leaders be 1) mature in their faith, 2) knowledgeable in the Scriptures, and 3) competent in their efforts to guide and edify others in the church body.
For those wishing to teach and lead ministries at SCC or aspiring to the office of elder or pursuing a Pastoral Residency at SCC, certain SDI courses will especially challenge and equip you to apply biblical truth to ministry and leadership.

Accordingly, the Leaders in Training courses are a little more rigorous in their expectations for attendance and assignments, and those who complete the program will receive the “SDI Certificate in Ministry Leadership.” To join the LIT program, fill out the application below.
