Bible Study Methods 2
While Bible Study Methods 1 is an introduction to the process of Bible interpretation using practical
methods and tools, Bible Study Methods 2 you will hone and apply these skills by studying the Old and
New Testaments according to their literary types.

ESV BibleFinancial Wisdom (Financial Peace University)
The Bible has much to say about the Christian's attitudes toward wealth and material possessions. This
course will provide sound principles and practices for budgeting, saving, and spending in ways that honor
Christ and establish financial stability. We will be using Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University
program for this course.

Strengthening Your Marriage
Explores God’s design and purposes for marriage and offers biblical wisdom for helping yours grow and
flourish. When Sinners Say “I Do” shows how the Gospel transforms marriage by helping couples see
each other through the lens of grace. With Biblical wisdom, humor and transparency, Dave Harvey
reveals the reality of living with another sinner while pointing to Christ as the source of unity and hope.

Spiritual Disciplines
The Spiritual Disciplines course explores how to fulfill God’s command to train ourselves in godliness. The
Christian life is both a dependence on and a relentless pursuit of God. As we seek to reach the stature of
Christ, the Spiritual Disciplines are God’s means for us to accomplish Christlikeness.

Deepening Disciples
Disciples of Jesus grow in grace and in their knowledge of him. SDI’s courses will deepen your understanding of the Bible, ground you in the essentials of the Christian faith, and strengthen your walk with Christ.

Snohomish Discipleship Institute fulfills the mission of SCC by deepening disciples and developing leaders for the glory of Jesus Christ for now and eternity.
Leaders in Training
SDI’s Leaders in Training program is a set of selected courses for training men and women to serve the church in various aspects of ministry leadership. Our goal is to help these servant-leaders be 1) mature in their faith, 2) knowledgeable in the Scriptures, and 3) competent in their efforts to guide and edify others in the church body.
For those wishing to teach and lead ministries at SCC or aspiring to the office of elder or pursuing a Pastoral Residency at SCC, certain SDI courses will especially challenge and equip you to apply biblical truth to ministry and leadership.

Accordingly, the Leaders in Training courses are a little more rigorous in their expectations for attendance and assignments, and those who complete the program will receive the “SDI Certificate in Ministry Leadership.” To join the LIT program, fill out the application below.
