The Legacy Project
FAQ's
God has blessed SCC with steady growth, and our current spaces are increasingly limiting ministry. Worship
services are reaching capacity, Kids and Student Ministry spaces are stretched, and gathering and discipleship
environments are constrained.
Simply put, we need more room for worship and ministry! This project is not about building bigger for its own sake.
It is about removing barriers, reaching more people with the gospel, and preparing for continued ministryThe total estimated project cost is $17 million. Our funding plan includes approximately $2 million already available
through savings and building fund giving, a Legacy campaign goal of at least $6 million over two years, and financing
of the remaining approximately $9 million through church bonds, loans, or both.If giving falls short of our $2 million goal, church leadership will evaluate available resources, financing options,
project costs, and timing to determine the wisest path forward.Yes! SCC can receive gifts of stock and certain other non-cash assets, as well as qualified charitable distributions
(QCDs) from eligible retirement accounts.Yes. Legacy giving is above and beyond regular tithes and offerings. We ask our church family to continue supporting SCC’s ongoing ministries, missions, and operations while prayerfully considering an additional commitment toward Legacy.
We are asking everyone to prayerfully consider giving toward Legacy from December 2026, through December 2028 Commitments will be made on Sunday, November 22, 2026 and may be fulfilled through regular gifts, a one-time gift, or both. If possible, we encourage one-time gifts by June 2027 to support construction cash flow.
We understand circumstances can change. Your Legacy commitment is a prayerful expression of intended generosity, not a legally binding obligation. If your situation changes, we ask that you prayerfully reconsider what you’re able to give.
Yes. Individual Legacy commitments and contributions will be handled confidentially, consistent with SCC’s established giving practices.
Pending permit approvals and final preparations, we expect beginning construction in mid-2027, with an estimated construction period of 12-14 months.

Our greatest hope for Legacy
Our greatest hope for Legacy is not simply reaching a financial goal. We want every person who calls Snohomish Community Church home to prayerfully seek the Lord and consider how He is calling them to participate.
The amounts will be different. The circumstances will be different. For some, this may be a first step in intentional generosity. For others, it may mean taking another step in a lifelong journey of giving. For many, it will require sacrifice
Legacy is not about equal gifts. It is about each of us faithfully responding with what God has entrusted to us.
Lord, what would You have me do?
Our Goal
100% Participation
Pray
Begin by seeking God. Pray individually and as a family. Ask God for wisdom, unity, and a willingness to follow wherever He leads.
Consider
Consider what God has entrusted to you. What resources has He provided? What might sacrificial generosity look like in this season? Is there something you could give up, postpone, or change? Are there resources beyond your regular income that God may be asking you to consider?
Respond
When God makes your response clear, take the step He is asking you to take. Your response may look different from someone else’s. What matters is that we seek God together and respond faithfully.
Questions to Pray Through
• What has God entrusted to me?
• How has the generosity of others impacted my life and faith?
• What might sacrificial generosity look like for me or my family?
• Is God asking me to trust Him in a new way?
• Lord, what would You have me do?
A $17 Million Investment
In the Future of SCC
Legacy is an approximately $17 million project that will prepare our campus for the ministry God has placed before us and for generations to come.
Our Legacy campaign goal is to raise at least $6 million over the next two years, but we are praying for God to provide far beyond that.
Why?
Because every dollar given through Legacy reduces what SCC will need to borrow. The more we give together, the less debt we carry forward and the more resources remain available for ministry.
$17 MILLION - Total Project
+$2M Already Given
+$6M Legacy Giving
+$9M Financing
= $17M Total
$6M is our target. More giving means less borrowing

Gathering & Connection: Expanded lobbies, coffee area, loft spaces, & added places to connect.
Campus Improvements: More restrooms, outdoor fireplace, pavilion, & improved campus accessibility.
New & Expanded Parking
Making Room Starts Before You Walk Through the Door

As SCC has grown, parking has become one of the clearest limitations of our campus. By paving our existing parking areas and adding more permanent stalls, we can create a safer, easier, and more welcoming experience for everyone who comes to SCC.
This is about more than parking. It’s about removing barriers and making room for people.
New & Expanded Lobby
More Than a Place to Pass Through

The lobby is where people arrive, connect, and build relationships. Expanding this space gives us more room to welcome guests, gather between services, and create the kind of community that happens before and after worship.
This is about more than a larger lobby. It’s about creating room for connection.
New Worship Center
A Room Designed for What Matters Most

Each week we gather around the preaching of God’s Word, worship together, pray, celebrate, and encourage one another as the church.
Our new Worship Center will give us room to welcome more people while creating a space intentionally designed around what happens when we gather.
Expanded Kids Spaces
Making Room for the Next Generation

Every week, we have the privilege of helping children know God’s Word, understand the gospel, and build a foundation of faith that can last a lifetime.
Legacy will renovate and refresh our existing kids spaces, create a larger kids lobby for easier check-in and a more welcoming arrival for families, and expand Kids Ministry into the current Student Center. Student Ministries will move into the current Worship Center, giving all ministries more dedicated space to learn, worship, build relationships, and be discipled.
We’re planning beyond today. The Kids Building is being designed with future expansion in mind, with the goal of eventually bringing birth through 5th grade together in one dedicated Kids Ministry area.
We’re creating better spaces to disciple the next generation today while preparing for continued growth tomorrow.
New Student Center
Making Room for Students and Community

Our Student Ministry is committed to helping middle school and high school students know God’s Word, grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and follow Christ.
As part of Legacy, our current Worship Center will become the new Student Center, providing a larger, dedicated space for students to gather, worship, hear God’s Word, and grow together.
Beyond Student Ministry, this flexible space will serve ministries throughout the week, including Young Adults, Seniors Ministry, SnoCo Moms, men’s and women’s breakfasts, the Snohomish Discipleship Institute (SDI), and other groups needing larger gathering spaces. It’s an opportunity to make better use of our campus while creating more room for discipleship, fellowship, and community across generations.
More Spaces for Ministry
Supporting the Work God Is Doing

Legacy is about more than adding room for worship and gathering. It is also an opportunity to strengthen the spaces that support the everyday ministry of SCC.
From dedicated counseling rooms and expanded offices to improved facilities, these spaces will help us care for people, support our ministry teams, and better serve our growing church family.
Why are we Building?
1
God Gives the Growth
Everything we celebrate at Snohomish Community Church is ultimately the work of God. He changes lives, builds His Church, and draws people to Himself.
Over the years, we have watched God bring more children, students, families, and individuals into our church than we could have imagined. We cannot manufacture that growth, but we can faithfully steward what He has entrusted to us.
Growth isn’t our achievement, It’s God’s blessing.
2
We Want to Make Room
Every Sunday, the impact of that growth can be felt across our campus. Our kids spaces are full, students and adults compete for ministry space. Gathering areas, parking, and other parts of our campus are stretched beyond what they were originally designed to accommodate.
We do not want our facilities to become an unnecessary barrier to ministry.
Legacy gives us the opportunity to create room for discipleship, community, hospitality, and ministry for generations to come.
3
We Have an Opportunity
Every generation has moments when God places an opportunity before His people.
For those who came before us, that meant planting this church, purchasing this property, building this campus, and faithfully investing in ministry here.
Today, we have an opportunity of our own.
We can invest in spaces that will serve people we know today and people we may never meet. What we build today can become a ministry tool for decades to come.
Legacy
Legacy is more than a building project. It is about far more than raising money. If Legacy only connects us to a building or a financial goal, we have missed its greater purpose.
Legacy is an opportunity for our entire church family to remember God’s faithfulness, consider how He has called us to live faithfully today, and prepare the way for generations who will follow us.
Rooted
We are rooted in the unchanging truth of God’s Word and grateful for the many ways He has guided, provided for, and sustained SCC throughout its history.
Raised
God has raised up generations of people at SCC to worship, serve, give, disciple, preach, and carry the gospel forward. Their faithfulness has shaped the church we are today.
