Parent/Student Resources

At SCC we believe God has given every parent and guardian the responsibility to disciple their children. To disciple a child is to intentionally help grow him or her closer to Jesus. We want to partner with parents by teaching and challenging students with Scripture on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings as parents do the same throughout the week at home. Below are a few resources we believe can help and equip parents as they raise and disciple their children.

  • Age of Opportunity by Paul David Tripp

Disciple Them Like Jesus by Barrett Johnson

Pursuing a Heart of Wisdom by Dr. John C. Kwasny

Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles That Can Radically Change Your Family by Paul David Tripp

The Center for Parent/Youth Understanding (CPYU)

  • The Story of Reality by Gregory Koukl

    Street Smarts by Gregory Koukl

The Reason for God by Timothy Keller

The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel

Surviving Religion 101 by Michael Kruger

  • The Foundations Study Bible (NIV - Zondervan)

The ESV Study Bible (ESV - Crossway)

High School Ministry

HSM is a place for 9th-12th graders to discover the beauty of the gospel, deepen their understanding of the glory of God through their relationship with Jesus, and develop lasting relationships with one another as a Christian community.

Sunday Services

11:15am - Student Center

We value the Word of God and have created a space for students to grow in their faith through the preaching of His Word. Sundays are when we exposit the Scriptures and where students have the opportunity to worship, learn, and connect. Everyone stays together throughout the morning for a service specifically designed for the High School Student. Join us at 11:15am in the Student Center!

Wednesday Life Groups

6:30pm - Student Center (September - May)

We value intentional Christian community, and our Wednesday night Life Groups are where that happens. In these Life Groups, students grow in their faith alongside others their age and build lasting friendships centered on Christ. Each small group—divided by grade and gender—is led by 3–4 amazing adult Life Group Leaders who care deeply about helping students explore God’s Word and strengthen their faith in a supportive and fun environment. Join us Wednesdays at 6:30 PM in the Student Center!
