Counsel from God’s Word is desperately needed today in a world that is complex and filled with sin and suffering. God’s Word gives the hope and help we need to navigate all the problems and questions we face. God has provided everything we need for life and godliness in His Word (2 Peter 1:3-4). We can experience hope, contentment, and find the direction we need to handle the pressures of life.

We’re having a live Church Leadership Training covering many different topics that will help equip our leaders to better minister the Word of God.
Who Do We Counsel?
We offer counseling for those who are suffering due to sin or life’s circumstances. We counsel adults, 18 years or older, who are married or single. We also work with parents of children and youth. Direct counsel for children and teens will be considered on a case by case basis.
We require that everyone who receives on-going counseling be a member or regular attender of SCC.
What Issues Do We Address?
You may have difficulties as a result of your own choices or the situations you are in. Scripture helps us respond to circumstances in life so that we can glorify God. Counseling is available for any issue you may be facing: marriage, parenting, relationship issues, addictions, sexuality, fear, anger, anxiety, depression, grief, issues from the past (including childhood abuse) and anything else.
How Do We Counsel?
God has solutions. The One who created us knows us the best. God wrote a book to reveal Himself and in it He provides the wisdom we need to overcome our problems. Therefore, our counsel comes from the Bible. God’s Word is superior to any any other source of counsel and our goal is to minister it skillfully and practically to shine God’s answers on the difficulties you are facing.
What is the Cost?
Our counseling is free! It is a privilege to minister to those who are suffering and share the hope that is found in God’s Word. We don’t want money to be an obstacle. Throughout counseling, you may be asked to purchase materials (books or booklets) to enhance your learning. This cost will not exceed $25.
